Submissions are now open for Issue 8 of the Quick Brown Dog!

Theme: Change / Whakaumu

Think about change in all its forms:
transitions, transformations, metamorphoses, changes of mind and of heart,
change in location, and changes in ways of being.

We are looking for poems (up to 30 lines) and flash fiction (up to 300 words). More details in the submission guidelines below.

Issue 8 will be a limited-edition (100 copies only) art-print journal, featuring work by the Hagley Printmakers, and lovingly printed and handbound by the team at The Print Shop, Ferrymead Heritage Park.

Every contributor will get one free copy of the journal on publication; further copies will be available for purchase at our launch in March 2026.
